If you would like to become a member of our evacuation unit, You must have intermediate to advanced horse or livestock handling skills and have a horse or livestock trailer or be able to partner with a member who has a horse trailer. Please read our Membership guidelines.
Trainings for new members are scheduled as needed and include ICS training and in house training as well as a trailering skills check out.
If you live outside of Santa Cruz County, you can look into joining other units in San Mateo, San Benito or Santa Clara counties. All members of SCCEEU must live within the county.
